Rated northern outfit Team V are becoming regulars at this one and are once again set to return. The former National Champions and reigning unlimited Icebreaker champs could easily add this title to their collection if they were to go all out for the spoils although it is unlikely they will be putting too much pressure on themselves to perform, especially where they could be targets for others. Despite often getting overshadowed by the sport’s other high profile teams, this squad is among the elite and will certainly make their presence felt one way or another. 169 Smelly has been quietly improving more and more in the last couple of years although it seems luck is never his greatest friend. 266 Big Al is another very underrated star with the ability to crash and wreck and he always seems to enjoy his visits to Mildenhall so he will be looking to do the very same this time. 341 Beaver is an up and coming member of the Team V ranks who is almost always in the thick of it so expect plenty more of that at this one. 474 Matty ranks as one of the sport’s top young stars after bursting onto the national scene just over a year ago. Bounced back from a disappointing Mildenhall debut at the 2006 Supreme to win a heat at last’s years Suffolk Open team bash underlining his quality as a driver. However he can crash as well as he proved with an electric showing in his epic Lincoln at the Firecracker and his superb final win at the unlimited Icebreaker played a big part in the team’s success. 719 Chip was also a member of the victorious Icebreaker team and another driver who can often be wrongly overlooked as he is a strong part of the side whose success could make a big difference. The highly experienced 810 Eno completes the team and the former 2Litre World Champion ranks as another class act in this side. Scored a podium finish in the 2005 Supreme and performed a neat rollover last year, in fact he has a habit for rolling at Mildenhall having also done one at last year’s Supreme. Will be eager to not do that again in 2007 and if he can keep all four wheels on the ground he’ll be one to watch.

There were 210 cars spread over 37 teams today. Cars of note included 2 Marina coupes and one four door saloon, vauxhall viva estate, loads of Mk3 and 4 cortinas and loads of Lada's as well. Very entertaining meeting with loads of rollovers and stoppages but didnt see anyone seriously hurt. Young guns came from behind to snatch the title as the Condoms and Dover Boys were at it in the final and blew both there chances.

Also good to see some old faces from the past racing 91 Jimmy Moyes and 323 Geoff "the Wasp" Roberts.
