Here’s the list for Barry’s meeting.

A couple of points we want to make at this stage:

Firstly at the request of Barry’s family and as is usually the case with memorial meetings there will be no Hearses permitted at the meeting.

Secondly a number of people have expressed concern that some cars at this meeting will be excessively welded. At Spedeworth meetings in 2008 the ORC welding rules will be strictly enforced – drivers doors and corner plates only. If an old motor has some welding which is clearly for driver safety only then it MAY be allowed but drivers bringing anything strengthened with welding outside of the rules runs a risk that they will not be allowed to race.

Previously we have allowed people to cut weld to get through scrutineering, but this is no longer the case as it just seems to mean people keep trying it on knowing the worst that will happen is they will have to cut the weld.

Thanks for listening and please spread the word as we don't want to be stopping people racing but we will do it for driver safety and fair play.

Anyone else wanting to do the meeting please let us know and we will try to squeeze people in, or we will add names as others cancel - if you're on the list below and you are not going to do the meeting please let us know so we can let someone else have your space.
