LIKE BEING A GREAT NIGHT

The BIG BANGER SPECIAL which takes place at the Norfolk
Arena on Saturday 6 September is already shaping up to be
a great night with over 100 Bangers expected to be in action!

Racing comes from the Unlimited Bangers and the 2L Bangers
- and it looks like there will be lots of great action from both
banger formulas!

There will be a minimum of 5 Unlimited Bangers Races & DD
with racing coming from the Pre 70 Bangers and the Unlimited
World of Shale.

The Pre 70 cars are guaranteed two races by themselves and the entry of big cars is
already into double figures and looks like getting better over the weekend. Please
note that all cars booked in to race receive £30 Start Money for the Pre 70 so
drivers not yet booked in who may wish to race are advised to book in asap!!

Following the Pre 70 Session - which will have plenty of classic time to keep banger
fans amused, the Pre 70s join the normal unlimiteds for the World of Shale meeting.
At the moment ( ten days before meeting) we have a late 30s figure of cars booked
to race and it looks like there will be around 50ish come the day - although we will be
able to tell you who is booked in next week.

As well as the Unlimited Bangers, there is also action from the 2L Bangers - 12 teams
of four are already booked in to race and over 60 2L Bangers should be in action.

Completing the night's action are the 2L Stock Cars where a mid thirties turnout
is expected. The Annual BUMPER TROPHY is being contested and with the prize
fund being considerable boosted, expect some great racing action.

With around 150 cars expected to be in action, this meeting is likely to get fully
booked. Drivers who wish to guarantee themselves a places are advised to book
in as soon as possible by ringing 01553 771111 or 01553 630507.

There will be further updates and a full preview of this meeting next week - but
at the minute is looking like being a great event!!!!

Don't worry tomorrows meeting will definetly be taking place!

Following Wednesday's Speedway meeting Buster and his team prepared the track with the forecast in mind and when I left at 7pm on Friday the track was not in to bad a shape.

As damien says, tomorrows forecast is for a bright start and showers in the afternoon - nothing like we have had today and the team will be working on the track again tomorrow to get it in the best condition possible.

With regard to cancelling meetings, we have never cancelled a meeting at Lynn because of the rain - we postponed the Icebreaker a couple of years ago for thick snow - which is really the only weather condition when it is impossible to run a shale track as we demonstrated at an earlier Icebreaker!

The world final was called off last year not because of the rain but because of the damage done to the track the night before by the BriSCA F1s which had run in a monsoon and ripped the track up completly so it was showing the chalk below the base. It would have been impossible to walk round it never mind race on it! Anyone at Sheffield last Sunday would be reminded just how much damage rear wheeled 650bhp cars on Hoosiers do in a monsson on shale!

However we have never cancelled because of the rain and anyone who has been to one of the rainy Lynns this year (there have unfortunately been plenty to choose from!) will testify that the track has been in great nick.

Buster and the track guys have done a fantastic job for us so far this season - and you can be sure they will do their best for us tomorrow - but whatever comes (hopefully what the forecast says!!) - we will defeinetly be running and there is no chance whatsoever of the meeting being cancelled!
