Warton unlimited warfare 22-2-09


We are off to Warton for an unlimited bash up. 3 heats and a final to normal rules ...followed by a heat and final using infield race rules. We then follow this with a figure 8 at DTR34Figure8DX.

Infield race rules....on each straight YOU MUST ENTER THE INFIELD BEFORE THE MARSHALLS POSITION AND REJOIN THE STRAIGHT AFTER PASSING THE MARSHALL(on your left) BEFORE THE BEND.....
failing to use the infiled as you pass the marshall will result in dq..so if needed ..backtrack to pass the marshalls position correctly.
nb try out various cars before making your choice for the meeting.lol

I'll miss it as i'm at warton

With quite a variation in size and weight in cars that could be used it proved to be an interesting meeting. Some good crashes and follow ins were seen.
Well done to Timmy 76 with 2 heat wins in his volvo estate. Other heats went to EXO in his big Nomad and to reg and Bandit in their tiny A40s.
Exo won the meeting final and passed next meeting choice to second place driver Laker with Bandit getting 3rd place.
Figure 8 went to the mighty Wargasm in his chariot of immense power called an A40.
Steve 211 took the first ever BWS race win at the ADRT_DallasX track from exo and reg with wargasm in 4th.

Elimination DD was won by TUBBS 321 in the only victory of the night for an A60 type with hius cambridge estate.

Might go bear hunting tonight,had a few battles with them over the last few weeks and there are 5 out tonight. Think keiron will be after me anyway since i stopped him winning the final last night.

Had a little play with the bears but nothing major.

My first DD win and was really 3rd in final but because 6th position got to pick next weeks meeting i stopped and let people past on the line haha if reg lets me chose even after i cheated it'll be all rollers at Ipwsich

Grannys Outing at Newtongrange on 8-3-09


Many thanx to Uncle Chewy 102 for rushing around and sorting us a big server at short notice. Even with some regular faces missing due to net probs and other reasons we still had 18 racing including returnee GAV 587 which added to the BEARS squadron.
Bombing round nitten with 17 loonys doing there best to inflict damage is hairy stuff and there was loads upon loads of heavyweight hitting.
Toward did well winning 2 heats and the dd and in addition got the 6th place in the final to pick next weeks meeting.
OLD GIT exo 72 won the final on his way to be joint top point scorer with ANCIENT COFFIN DODGER reg 126 who bagged one heat win.
Other heats wins for kieron 321 (well done matey) and livewire 78 on his return to BWS.
SENILE BUT SMILING HEARSE LOVER 606 happybear lee took victory in the fig 8 in between getting runners up spot in the final and warring with the Bears.
CHEWY 102 ...THATS HIS AGE...THE JEERMANS BOMBED OUR HOOSE LAST WEEK...was conducting a war most the meeting with the bears whos Tiger tanks he was trying to knock out with his little sherman. He also inflicted some friendly fire on the allies.

Roller Rampage 15-3-09


Our next meeting picked by 6th place in the grannys outing final ...which was toward #27 is an all Roller bash at Ipswich(R)X for heats and final...fig 8 at Swaffham8X and dd at NewtongrangeRX.
Only car allowed is the rolls silver shadow --chassis name bsilvers.
They are quick ,powerful and hard !!! expect a gentle rod about on a quiet sunday afternoon of gentlemanly driving.

skins to be in by 5pm on the sunday folks.

We're having a crazy race where the winner is the 2nd person accross the line which should be interesting plus its oppo allowed anywhere with the shale being allowed to be used as well.

Was leading the last 5 laps or so of the crazy race and stopped just before the line as did 2nd and 3rd placed men,laker though went straight on and took 1st leaving us 3 for a sprint for the line,i pipped affro by 0.001 apparently

not sure what to pick for next week but its a joint decision by me and affro as i thought it'd be harsh to have it all to myself again lool

Quite a bit of chaos with loads of very damaged rollers charging round ippy. National Hot Rodder "Barry" Lee 606 took the final and a heat to end up joint top point scorer with Super Rod Pilot 260 Frenchy who took a heat win and a lot of good places. Laker chipped in by winning a heat and the figure 8 and also came home first in the crazy race to be demoted to second spot. 27 Towards took one heat win and the crazy race victory in a last straight melee with reg and affro.
Unsure on result of dd at moment.

personally I enjoyed the meet with a bit of good hard charging and steaming in ..but for me the best bit was being able to spin cars out well at the big ipswich track.
