UNLIMITED BANGERS GREAT NORTHERN CHAMPIONSHIP

Sunday 5th August (2:00pm)

The hills are alive with the sound of music! – no need to check to see if you are on Barford site, it’s okay you are. What’s Julie Andrews got to do with Barford you ask. Nuthin!! But on Sunday 5th August the hills will be alive with the sound of music as a Granada thunders around Barford Raceway on full chat for the £1000 Unlimited Bangers Great Northern Championship. Oh music to my ears, especially with a good grid of Mr Fords most excellent banger racing offering.

The word on the street (please go into Huggy Bear mode as you read this) is that the Bears are making the trek north to do battle with their archenemies Stinkbridge. For many years yours truly has wanted to see this ongoing battle continue on Barford soil, as the northerners is going to whip your cuddly white southern ass boy!! One also hopes that Barfords regular bruisers will be out in force to do the business and snatch some of the dough – well the promotion hopes so on the premise that what goes round comes round, because if the pay out stays in the north it will eventually return to Barford! Word has it that Adrian Crann will once again be out in a transit, so it will be Cranny in the tranny or if rumours are true, Cranny is a tranny.

Last year saw Matty Threlkeld of Team V take the honours but no word as yet as to whether he will turn out to defend his title. Teammate John Nicholson was in attendance last year but only as a spectator and so, will he too have a car prepared to help keep the title in the North. Matty could have done with some support last year as after winning the title the Mob took it upon themselves to vent their fury upon him as the title had not gone north of the border. And what about the aptly named Mob from the north of Gretna. Word is that Mr Grumpy has a Yank tank prepared, and if duly arrives with said machine a certain commentator is going to single it out for those immortal words – “you’ve nowhere to run and nowhere to hide, you’re going fenceward”

All roads lead to Barford on Sunday 5th August – BE THERE.

My answer to the above,what a load of bollocks lol TSB and the bears are building cars for ringwood and we've been told for many years now that they're coming but when have the bears ever turned up? and the last time TSB were in town was 2002 so thats 4 years of lies followed by all most certainly a 5th.

No need to tell all them lies when you have the mob coming and probably team v,surely that alone would pull in the crowd?
