on the 31st of august bank holiday monday brampton raceway will be holding the the first ( nudger ) memorial for 2 litre bangers plus charity meeting for the british heart foundation a collection will be made on the sunday and mondays meeting all monies raised will go to the british heart foundation. kev a.k.a nudger as many known him sadly passed away on the 25th of august 2008 of a heart attack which left his family and all that knew him devastated. kev was a dear friend and loved his bangers. his main passion in bangers was team stinkbridge. he would traval many miles just to watch the boys in pink. out of all the stadiums nudger visited brampton was the place he loved. i have known him come all the way from newcastle for a domestic meeting at brampton and his son chris was always by his side. last years big one at brampton was planned as nudgers memorial but for one reason or another and bad weather it never happend i was gutted about that so i can only hope this years is a fitting tribute to a great man.he was a well liked bloke around the circuts he never had a bad word about any one and would go out of his way to help others.

the winner of the[ nudger} memorial race will gain a wild card entry in to the 2 ltr word final held at hendesford

r.i.p nudger gone but never forgotten.

Think i shall have to make the trip down to Brampton for this one,possible make a weekend of it - Cowdie,Barford and Brampton although i'm sure the dog will put an end to those plans surprised to learn today that Chris and family will be attending,i honestly don't think i could go to another banger meeting as it was a massive part of Kev's life and just being there would be very emotional. Think whatever plans there are for this weekend his one must be my priority and i may even have to go in my pink t-shirt lol

i have been told today that a team from heartfordshire are coming to race in the 1600cc banger stox and there will be a caravan race on monday camping is avalibleon the sunday night with a beer tent on site promoter will confirm later donations for the bhf are at 50 pound at present.
