I've just got back from a meeting with the owners, Environmental Health Dept., Environment Agency and Fire Service.

Its very bad news.

The fire has resulted in asbestos contamination of the track and pits areas and the authorities say that it would not be safe for public access. This is a massive blow and I'm obviously gutted and feel the same for everyone who has helped with the re-opening project and people looking forward to racing and spectating again.

I can't say any more other than this is the end for Roosecote Raceway.

Nobody has been caught for this and rumours are flying around that it was planned by a certain big man who never wanted the track to open (Most of you will know who I mean).

A large percentage of the Mills has now been fenced off in order to stop fires in the empty buildings, this includes empty garages (From Waldo's Garage downwards). Since this we've noticed a lot of the nobheads have stopped coming down, but now it's too late. There is also constant security on the track due to the asbestos.

I would give my opinion on the fire, who how and why, due to basically living down there (), but it would only cause controversy so I'm saying no more. But the person responsible has caused a massive consequence, and it's effected a lot of people.

As I have been reminded recently by a certain person, Never Say Never.

Dave's a big bloke and he aint been on here since the fires started,but that could just be a coincidence like hope ya doin alright Dave

lol he was at brampton today,didn't fare to well,never seems to have much luck

win some lose some Dave, wondered where you were all day i had nobody to talk to

but for dave it seems he always has the bad luck,metal mania he had none,hedno teams he got blown up early on,yesterday got put in early on,barrow chig memorial didn't last long (although no one expected him to lol)
