I had a quick look around Race Control on Wednesday afternoon to see if there is anything worth saving or souveneirs etc. for people who have asked.

Unfortunately, the place is absolutely trashed and there is nothing left in the place

Shame why would people wreck it? theres no need really when it'll be done properly in the end

John, Dave & Co. When I seen Race Control had been trashed I made it my mission (yeh, a mission) to save anything worth it - I have some flags, results board, Contact boards (Full Contact, Nudge n Spin etc) Lap boards and some other bits.

I wasn't intending on going minor-pikey, but I knew if I left everything there it would eventually get destroyed so I saved what I could (which took about 7 visits, two big bags, and 3 mates )

it is in such a state though, it also looks like someone has tried to burn the place down with bits burnt wood laying around (in the toilets as well). I'd like to have a word with those responsible..

Nice work James - you'd put the 'A' Team to shame with a mission like that !

Thought i'd point out that today (30th) was the first day of none existance for Roosecote Raceway 3 years ago. Sad day indeed. Can't believe its been 3 years since a banger drove round there officially at a meeting.

Hopefully i'll get my footage up of the track and mills at some point,been waiting to get it onto VHS for ages but it keeps getting put to the back of the pile lol once its on VHS i'll get it on DVD and then onto the net hopefully as an edited tribute. May be a while though haha

Yes, RIP Roosecote Raceway it was a great place.
