We're over half way through the year now and with one or two quite amazing motors being raced what do you think is gonna be up there with the best?...
Dan Weeks - Jaguar XJ40 Hearse - 1st Jag Hearse to race
Hugo raven - Volvo 142 Hearse - 1st Volvo 1 series Hearse to race
Alan Cartwright - Humber Hawk Limo - Only 2 made, this was the last remaining (He raced the first)
Mark Thomas - Triumph Stag - Joint 1st to be raced.
Scott Saunders - Triumph Stag - Joint 1st to be raced.
James Dillon - 1932 Austin ascot - Joint oldest car to be raced (77 years)
James Ellis - 1932 Hillman Minx - Joint oldest car to be raced (77 years)
James Ellis - 1948 Chevy Fleetline - First of its type to be raced, think it was different to Mr Butts
Simon Fixter - 1950's Armstrong Siddeley 18HP Limo - First to be raced, different to the Sapphire limo's
Just a quick drawn up list so i may have missed something. These are all above and beyond but what about those which are epic but not amongst the top lot?....(not including Yanks as there are too many which are awesome)...
A135 Princess Limo,Volvo 262 Coupe x2,Daimler Majestic X3,Austin Princess Hearse,Merc 380SL Coupe,Merc Minster,Cortina Camper,Lanchester LJ200,40's Ford Pop,40's Ford Prefect,Phase 1 and 3 Standard Vanguard's,Daimler DB18 x2,Volvo P1800 Estate,Mk1 Zephyr,1939 Morris 10M,1940's Standard Flying 14HP,Rover P3,1930's Wolseley on stilts,Rover P5 limo(homemade) Austin A55 Fintail Limo (homemade) Volvo estate minster (homemade)
Then there's new stuff like the first few Mk3 Mondeo's,first newer shape Supra, the first two Mk5 Granada Hearses and the first two new shape Cedric's. Suppose if we include homemade stuff the Mondeo limo should be here.
